Howdy! We are Obra.
We are a design studio and manufacturing collective based in Austin, TX, and Mexico City. Shaped by a unique balance of tradition and innovation, we create beautiful custom pieces that celebrate history, creativity and the decades of experience of our master carpenters, the Maestros.
Our work begins with detailed, traditional craftsmanship and the collaboration between our carpenters, designers and architects. To ensure precision and lifelong wear, we combine their enduring techniques with cutting-edge software and machinery, creating pieces of art that will grow with your family and become part of your story.
Obra works alongside its sister company, Sereno Moreno Taller. We combine our different strengths, sharing the same workshop and walking the same floors. As Obra leads concept and design, SMT leads production.
We deliver and install projects across the United States and Mexico, celebrating both our similarities, such as food, energy and drive, and the richness of our differences – these human elements extend far beyond the workshop: it guides our entire collective.

A project composed in three verses;a built-in entertainment unit, a guest kitchenette, and a set of custom floating shelves. Designed to showcase a collection of vinyl records & provide cozy accommodationsfor brief and extended guest stay.
